'Meet the Member' with Paul Callaghan - Your Chance to ask a burning business question

We’re out and about with our handy video camera quite a bit next week – on Tuesday we have got a couple of hours in Paul Callaghan’s diary and we will be filming another one of our ‘meet the member’ episodes.

‘Meet the member’ means that the questions are being posed by you – the IWCYC community. If there is a burning question that you would like posing to Paul about his entrepreneurial journey (it’s a fascinating one), please let us know and we’ll ask it for you – you can opt to remain anonymous or have your name checked in the video. The results will be on www.ifwecanyoucan.tv

Please have a think about what question you would ask and let us know as soon as possible – many thanks. If you don’t know Paul or his story, here’s a bit of information to get your thinking cogs going.

Paul is the founder and Chairman of Leighton, the worldwide technology and communications group that comprises five companies: Leighton, 4Projects, the Data Corp, Communicator Corp and Business Education Publishers. Paul built the Leighton Group from a small publishing business into the global technology software, new media group and communications group it is today, operating in over 45 countries on 6 continents and in 10 languages.

Paul discovered the key to ‘making money while he slept’ when he founded Domain Names.com in 1997 and helped it to grow to become one of Europe’s largest domain name registrars before selling it to VeriSign in 2000.

Paul is a master on vision, achieving targets and is more than willing to share his mistakes – so please get thinking about what you want to pick his brains about.

Here’s just one of his pearls of wisdom – with your help we’re hoping to bring out a lot more.

“Entrepreneurs are often described as ‘explorers’. They are the ones who go one step further than anybody else; they go into an area where there isn’t a map. But once that area’s been discovered (i.e the idea is implanted) then you need other people who will make that idea work. They are the farmers. You need people who are experts in their own fields who can help the business to flourish.”

Please send your questions as soon as possible to hazel@entrepreneursforum.net
